Note to self...since self is the only one who reads this: I'm glad to report to myself that Joey Hall, Chris Gragtmans and I have joined the team of Fortress Watches. Being a Fortress Team member I now consider myself a professional time teller.

Here are we three at the creek on the Saluda.

Oh, thanks a lot self. Maybe I'll run out and buy a Fortress watch now...click logo for fireworks

Dear three, maybe four if I'm lucky, people who have ever visited my web site and propably won't return, and actually won't even see this,

1. Feel free to check out the Riot blog. I just made a post yesterday about the Saluda River in Columbia, SC. It's fun!...read it

2. I happen to really like surf kayaking and I plan on attending most of the events that the ESKA is putting on this Winter and Spring. First event is coming up very soon in Florida. Feb 4-5 in Jacksonville. See you there I hope.

Here's some horror news for you on Friday the 13th. Have you ever wondered where all of a particular group of people are? Let's say you were Catholic, for example. Wouldn't it be cool if you knew where all the Roman Catholics were in the world and then have the ability to email or chat with them? Wellllllllllllll, my friend Felipe has done that on Frappr.com, except on a WAY WAY LARGER scale...for Surf Paddlers. Yes, you can now see where all those legendary Kayak Surfers live and send them some fan mail. Those famous people have to first register themselves on the site, but after that you can bug them all you want. Just go to this here linkypoo http://www.frappr.com/paddlesurfers

Nice idea Felipe! Good thinking. Now everyone will think that you invented Frappr.com and Myspace. Oh, that's right, you did. Sorry to insult you.

Also, you have to check out Felipe's Surf Page on myspace. It is dingdangdiggitydawg hilarious

Two of my friend's bands put up new web sites today.

* OATMEAL CONSPIRACY *

Oatmeal is a jazzy, hiphop influenced collection headed up by my best friend Mitchell Morton. Mitch and the other Oatmeal guys were previously members of Flipside Phonics and Flavorich, now defunct, but da funct stayed with these guys. Listen to some sound samples on their site and listen for their songs on some of my upcoming videos.

* JAY BROWN *

Each time I've seen Jay play I think of Bob Dylan. Jay even played Subterrainian Homesick Blues for me one time...well, part of it anyway. Go see Jay Brown if you get a chance. He's very entertaining and a heck of a nice guy.

"Founding member of the old time, swing band Lazybirds, Jay Brown is focusing on his solo career"...Read more...
